The Spirit is a smooth and transparent sounding mic, but with a slight bump of "air" in the high end, making this mic perfect for vocals, acoustic guitar, and percussion. However, its mostly neutral, detailed sound, combined with its 3-way polar pattern switch make it an extremely versatile mic that would be a good choice for many applications in the studio.
