Harmony between Design and Musical Playability
With a matte black finish and earth-colored slits on the front and sides, the OPUS-QUAD enhances the aesthetic of any performance environment. The entire product is sloped at a 5-degree angle. The rounded front edge is designed to be comfortable for performers to rest their hands on, and the dimples and textured finish on the outer and top parts of the jogs add to the aesthetic while providing better grip. The colors of the lights on the jog rings, match the customizable colors DJs have assigned to the decks so they always know which is playing. All this combines to help play comfortably, deliver the best performance, and inspire an audience.
Standalone 4-Deck Playback
The OPUS-QUAD offers standalone 4-deck playback for versatile DJ performances. This means DJs can play 4 tracks on 4 different decks simultaneously, cue up tracks in advance, and even leave a deck free for dropping requests into their set at a moment’s notice–all with just one unit.
Support for Multiple Media Sources
DJs can draw from various music libraries. From USB thumb drives to huge SSD drives, to plugging in a PC/Mac that’s running DJ software, or by connecting via Wi-Fi® to wirelessly play tracks from their smartphone*1 or using rekordbox Cloud Direct Play. DJs can even pair a mobile device via Bluetooth®/MD wireless technology–perfect if they want to quickly drop a request into their set.
The unit features 4 USB inputs in total:1 x USB Type-C port for connecting the latest devices, a PC/Mac or, in some cases, a mobile device;1 x USB Type A (3.2) port on the rear panel for rapid communication with an SSD drive or similar device; and 2 x standard USB Type-A ports on the top panel.
Rapid Track-Search
DJs can find tracks faster and more accurately than ever before with the freshly designed user interface with an electro static touch module. No matter how large the music library is, DJs can use the 10.1-inch touchscreen to quickly search for songs via the keyboard or use Playlist Bank for quick navigation between playlists. With Touch Preview, DJs can preview tracks while browsing. The new Smart Rotary Selector offers a joystick-like experience with left/right, up/down, rotation, and push control. And the other browsing controls are neatly arranged around the selector so DJs can scour their music collection and preview and load tracks without moving their hand.
Optimized Deck Configuration and New Smart Cue
The purposeful deck layout includes a display above each full-size jog wheel. 8 Hot Cue buttons are also placed above each jog so DJs don’t need to switch their gaze when manipulating tracks or checking things such as the track information, parameter, and status of each function. And with the new Smart Cue feature, you can automatically overwrite the current cue position with recalled Hot Cues, making it much quicker and more intuitive than ever before to use Hot Cues with one touch.
EnhancedSoundExperience
Designed to meet the needs of the increasingly diverse DJ scene, the OPUS-QUAD produces a high-quality sound that’s comfortable for audiences to listen to for long periods of time in any kind of setting. The unit’s configuration eliminates transmission loss and AD-DA conversion loss and includes a high-quality 32-bit ESS Technology D/A converter. As a result, the entire venue is gently enveloped by a pleasant sound that enhances the special experience.
Easy-To-Use Professional Effects
The OPUS-QUAD makes it easy to add texture and tension to personalize sound with the Beat FX feature. The XY-Pad makes it easy to control features such as FX Bank and channel select, as Beat FX parameters and the cut-off frequency of the filter are controlled by movement on the X and Y-axis respectively, so you can blend both effects with a single finger. With the popular Smooth Echo feature, you can easily trigger an echo sound by moving a fader or knob you’ve pre-assigned to apply the effect when it’s turned on. Each channel also has SoundColorFX, giving you even more possibilities when creating different sounds to wow your audience.
Zone Output
Thanks to the zone output–which can output sound that’s separate from the master–DJs can play different music in different rooms from just 1 OPUS-QUAD. For example, DJs could connect a phone to the unit via Bluetooth and set a playlist of background music to play quietly in a bar area or second room where people are socializing while they mix tracks from a USB device in the main room.
rekordbox and Serato Compatibility
OPUS-QUAD includes plug-and-play compatibility for rekordbox Performance mode and Serato DJ Pro2. DJs canplugaPC/Mac running either application to get started, with no license or subscription required. Additionally, users can connect to rekordbox for iOS/Android (ver. 4.0) mobile app*1.
